On the ground: Amerant Bank Arena is about 12 miles / 20-30 minutes west of Fort Lauderdale via I-595 to the Sawgrass Expressway, one mile north of Sunrise Blvd on Panther Parkway.
Late finishes and the 11 pm surcharge
Hockey runs late. Anything moving between 11:00 pm and 4:59 am can carry a 20 percent surcharge, and the same surcharge applies on New Year's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
If the car holds for more than 30 minutes after the final buzzer, the booking shifts to hourly pricing. Stops added on the way, or a change of route, are billed on top of the fare. An 18 percent chauffeur gratuity is suggested; raise it, lower it or leave it off.
