Reading the invoice on an as-directed hire
Pricing here has two halves. The fixed half is a three-hour minimum on as-directed hires, counted from the moment the van leaves the garage until it is back, plus mileage above the 25 miles each hour includes, at $1.50 per mile.
The variable half depends on the day. Stops you add and detours you ask for are billed beyond the quote, and waiting past half an hour shifts the job to hourly. Gratuity sits at 18% unless you change it.
